I was going to leave a comment on Jesse's last post, but apparently, our comment system is broken.
I don't know if a comment warrants an entire post, but I wanted him to know that I saw his visit, and I wanted to encourage him to visit again. I wanted him to know that he, too, is missed.
In our heyday, The Strangelands was a place I could visit daily and usually see something new; a new comment, a new discussion, a new post. I don't think we'll ever be there again, but I sure wouldn't mind seeing more activity when I check in on this place.
So, Jesse, if you stop by again, and if you need a writing prompt, here's one: tell us.
Tell us what you've been up to; tell us what you're doing, what you're thinking while you do it; tell us about your life. Tell us whatever you want to, but tell us.
Maybe it's mundane, to you. And maybe it will be to us. But probably not. Probably it would be an opportunity to see the world through someone else's eyes.
And I think that's kind of what this place has always been about. Seeing something we normally wouldn't, or seeing something in a way we normally wouldn't.
I encourage Jesse to stop by and tell us whatever, and I encourage everyone else to do it, too. And yes, I totally understand that at this point, this post is basically a message in a bottle. I understand that we all have better things to do, and that I'm probably wasting my digital breath.
But so what?
i'd be wasting my breath, anyway, so I might as well do it here.
Thanks for stopping by, Strangelanders.
