Visions of Doom by Ray Printer Friendly

Moonlight cleanses me,

Washing away

Doubt and worry.

Purging falsities.

.

Society is a grass fire,

Burning away at insides,

Scorching,

Leaving ash.

.

Laughter is the truth--

A rain, both

Violent and necessary,

Flooding emotion.

.

I am a drop of nothingness on a painted acorn;

I cannot be destroyed or manipulated,

For I have no structure,

I am disembodied void.

.

I see children used as tools,

Weapons.

Used against strangers, parents,

Themselves.

.

I look into a treasure chest,

And I see treasure.

Others look into the same chest and

See pry bars and ammunition.

.

Life should not be war.
