A Cello, Reposed *RECOVERED* by Jesse Printer Friendly

I think I thought we were something special

when she showed me that she threw out the carpet

when she changed the drapes

And then we talked about real life

I told her what I thought about dying

That I'm scared about being forgotten.

She told me she's been dying from the beginning

and she seemed so untouched by everything

that has gone no way anyone wants, for her

Somehow she ended up in my arms that night

We moved closer to hear precious nothing

she fluttered into my lap like a feather

we gripped her neck together

I felt like myself
