How's it going?
Pretty good, I hope.
So, I don't know if you noticed or not, but it's August. August is great because it's hot as hell, and everyone's sick of the heat, ready for it to be over, but there's still like an eternity of it left. All the fun summer stuff has already been done, so you really just want to spend most of your time cowering inside, with well-regulated, temperature-controlled air. But you can't. Instead, you have to go outside just like always, and every time you get into your car, the air's so hot that it sucks the breath out of your lungs and melts your eyeballs a little. It's like driving around an oven on wheels.
In short, August is the worst of all the months.
And we're stuck in it for 31 days.
On the bright side, there's Hate Week. I can't remember why, but it starts on August 6th, which is a Tuesday this year. So we have that to look forward to.
Hate Week is a good time to vent about all the annoying things in the world, and because it's a holiday, it doesn't count as enraged whining, but rather a worthy contribution. I encourage everyone to participate.
Aside from Hate Week, what do we have going on this month? I don't know. As I mentioned before, August sucks, so I generally try not to put much thought into it.
I'm still running, so I'm sure I'll write about that (yes, I know it's boring, but screw you--if I have to suffer, so do you). I'm also going to try to work on my animation skills, so there might be a cartoon or two. And for the hell of it, maybe I'll make a rap song.
Probably not, though. That was kind of a lie because I wanted you guys to like me.
There will be the regular stuff--liquor rants, bad poetry, and a short story or two.
It'll be fun stuff, so make sure you stick around. Besides, it's stupid August--not like there's anything cool happening, anyway, so you might as well waste your time here.
