Bad Poetry In Under A Minute: While You Were Away by Ray Printer Friendly

While You Were Away

I took a drink

Of angry ice cubes

And soggy gin.

Stars burned out,

And loveless lives ended,

And dogs barked,

And water dripped,

And somewhere, there was silence.

There were dreams and nightmares,

And laughter and tears;

A baby coughed in its sleep and rolled over to its mother's breast.

A maniac danced in a spotlight of red,

To music of sorrow that only he could hear.

A shadow,

Fed up with it all,

Stepped into the light.
